What's your favorite way to decorate your Christmas tree? For me, it's a country christmas tree theme.
The fist things on my tree are ornaments my son made in school and church plus crafts we made together. My absolute favorite is a cardboard star my son and I made together. It's just a simple star that we cut out of cardboard and added gold glitter, but it has a place on the top of my Christmas tree every year
Next on my tree are gingham bows, country patchwork crafts, such as, stars, bells, gingerbread men, snowmen and stockings, then I add some pinecone ornaments, real candy canes and twinkling clear lights for an absolutely stunning country christmas tree.
I also try to buy at least one new Christmas ornament every year. I like to choose something that is sentimental of an event that occurred that year. Our First Christmas, Baby's First Christmas, baseball, football, dog, anything that captures an important event from that year.
Every other year or so, just to spice things up some, I go out and purchase new colored balls. I personally prefer one color, adding either silver or gold balls to go along with that color. Blue and silver is beautiful, red and gold, green and silver, red and green only, but of course there isn't any rule that says you can't add as many colors as you want.
Some Other Themes
A less than traditional decorating theme is to decorate your tree with clear lights, use gold decorations and wrap presents in silver wrapping paper.
Another stunning theme is to weave gold mesh ribbon through the branches of the tree combined with silver balls, silver metallic beads, silver snowmen, stars or any silver ornaments of your liking.
You can create a stunning christmas tree by spraying artificial snow on it, adding white ribbons, white angles, glittery snowflakes, doves, snow sprayed pinecones and icicles.
