A nursery needs to fill two functions, first and foremost, your child needs to fell safe and secure.
Secondly the nursery must also be a room for your child to play, learn and explore.
Moments of play and peaceful slumber will leave a lasting impression that will last your child a lifetime.
Let the sunlight in during the day, the sun's rays works it's magic in making any room feel light, airy
and comfortable. Blinds or curtains should be used to secure the room from the outdoors at night,
at which time the ambience of the nursery takes over for your childs sense of security.
White is always an aesthetically pleasing color choice for nursery walls. Dark colored walls are not pleasing to
a child and can actually be quite gloomy.
There are dozens of wall murals or nursery themes in which to decorate the walls of your child's nursery.
Nursery themes can introduce your child to the world of color.
Nursery furniture should be chosen with the child in mind, cupboards and shelves should be easily accessible
to the child. A small day bed is an excellent addition for the transition from crib to bed. A single
bean-bag allows your child to sit and play in comfort.
There should be a chair for the mother or father to sit and read to their child. Children love nursery rhymes.
Many of the classic nursery rhymes and children's stories are all but forgotten.
Low shelves and cupboards are essential for storing books and toys. In addition, a blackboard and chalk
makes a great addition to any nursery.
