The Art Of Feng Shui Bedroom Decorating

Feng Shui Bedrooms

We spend a large amount of our time in our bedrooms, and decorating ideas for them should reflect that and be well thought out. Whether you are alone in the bed or not, you should try decorating this room with Feng Shui.

The meaning of Feng Shui is the Chinese art of placement. By using Feng Shui it suggests to you a feeling a safety and security. You should also feel comfortable, relaxed, and very calm energy in the bedroom because you spend so much time in that room. Sometimes that feeling you get determines how much time you really want to spend in the bedroom and how well you sleep.

There is alot of metaphor involved in the use of Feng Shui; perhaps you will take a look at your room and see what the placement of your furniture says about you. Place the head of the bed so that it is opposite the door. You want to easily see people as they enter.

The head of the bed should not be over a window or you may feel lack of support Try not to bring work home from the office; only to work on it in the bedroom.

Place earthy elements such as plants, stone, crystals or things that remind you of the earth Having a night table on each side of the bed suggests there is another person in the bedroom, even when you do not have a partner. Make sure your room door opens and closes easily. Noisy doors are disturbing.

These are just a few decorating thoughts using Feng Shui as a guide. You can apply Feng Shui decorating guidelines throughout your home and office with this ancient art and just see what a difference you will feel with a few subtle changes.
