Rotel Cheese Dip

Rotel Cheese Dip is so simple to make. Serve with Tostada chips at any party or group gathering.

  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • 1 large pkg. Velveeta cheese spread
  • Melt cheese and tomatoes in double boiler.

Melt cheese and tomatoes in double boiler.

Serve with chips and crackers.

An added touch would be to have some chunks of French bread.

Chili Cheese Dip

So simple to make. Serve with Tostada chips, corn chips, crackers or chunks of bread. Great hit at any party or group gathering.

  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 lb. browned hamburger, (drained)
  • 1 regular size can chili with or without beans
  • 1 (12 to 15 oz.) jar Picante sauce

Mix in crock pot until cheese melts and it can be well blended.

Serve hot with nacho chips. Can be doubled.

Homemade Salsa

Delicious served with Doritios, Tostada chips, corn chips, crackers or chunks of bread.

  • 1 can mexican tomatoes
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes
  • 1 can garlic-onion flavored tomatoes
  • chopped onion to taste
  • chopped bell pepper to taste
  • cilantro to taste
  • lemon juice to taste
  • garlic clove or garlic
  • salt to taste
  • chopped hot peppers of your choice to taste

Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

Crab Dip

Try this simple appetizer recipe for Crab Dip at your next party. I have served it many times and it always goes fast. Serve with chips, crackers or chunks of bread.

  • 1 lb. imitation crab meat
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. Hot Sauce
  • 2 celery stalks
  • Salt and pepper

In medium bowl, shred crab meat.

Dice celery stalks (fine) and add to crab meat. Mix these ingredients well.

Place cream cheese in small bowl and microwave for 15-20 seconds to soften. When soft, stir with spoon to eliminate any lumps.

Add cream cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper to crab meat mixture.

Mix thoroughly with spoon until all ingredients are well blended. Cover and let sit in refrigerator over night.

Serve with your favorite crackers, chips or chunks of bread.

Bean Dip

Bean Dip, is great served with Tostada chips, corn chips, crackers or chunks of bread. Great game day dip recipe, but a huge hit at any party or group gathering.

  • 1 can condensed black bean soup
  • 1 can condensed bean and bacon soup
  • 1 tbs. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper
  • 8 oz. sour cream

Combine all ingredients (except sour cream) in a saucepan. Heat, stirring constantly. Add sour cream and simmer an additional 10 minutes.

Serve hot with favorite chips.

Cucumber Dip

This simple party dip recipe for Cucumber Dip is so light and refreshing. Serve with vegetable sticks, chips, crackers or chunks of bread.

  • 1(8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonaise
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Chop cucumber and onion very fine.

Add soft cream cheese, mayonnaise and garlic. Mix well and chill.

Great for a wedding or baby shower.

Spinach Dip

Serve inside hollowed out hawaiian bread. Serve with the hollowed out bread chunks, raw vegetable, rye bread or crackers.

  • 1 box chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1(8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 c. mayonaise
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg. dry vegetable soup mix

Mix and chill several hours or overnight.

Serve on rye bread or crackers or hull out center of Hawaiian bread. Serve dip in center and use part of bread removed to dip.

Leek Dip

Leek Dip is a simple party appetizer dip recipe that is so delicious served at parties. Serve it in a hollowed out bread bowl or with crackers.

  • 1 (10 oz) pkg chopped spinach, cooked and drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 pkg. knorr leek soup mix
  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread

Chop water chestnuts and green onions in food processor. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.

Refrigerate overnight.

Turnip Green Dip

Great served with corn chips or Tostitos.

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 3-oz can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 10-oz package frozen chopped turnip greens
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 6-oz roll garlic cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • hot pepper sauce (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Saute onion and celery in butter until tender. Stir in mushrooms and set aside.

Cook turnip greens according to package directions and drain well.

Combine turnip greens with the lemon rind in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth.

In the top of a double boiler, add all of the sauteed vegetables, pureed turnip greens, soup, cheese, worcestershire and hot pepper sauce, stirring until mixture is well blended and heated.

Mississippi Caviar

Serve with Tostada chips, corn chips or crackers. Great hit at any party or group gathering.

  • 2 (14 oz.) cans black-eyed peas, drained
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can white hominy, drained
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 md. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 md. tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) bottle Italian salad dressing

Combine all ingredients, refrigerate at least 2 hours.
